Cedar Park Weather Cancellation Policies

 

Inclement Weather Policy:

 

My policy is simple: I would rather be safe than sorry.

  • If there is lightning within 12 miles of the pool, I will decide which training groups will be affected and begin canceling practices.
     
  • Once a training group’s practice has been canceled, I will post this information on the team feed on the CAA website and email that training group about the cancellation.
     
  • If a storm is moving into the area prior to the start of practice, I will make the call for each training group 30 minutes before practice begins.  I will post this information on the team feed and email the training group(s).  If you do not receive an email or see a post on the team feed about a cancellation, that means that practice will begin at its regularly scheduled time. 

 

Cold Weather Policy:

 

Swim Practice:

  • Bronze/Silver - If the air temperature is at or below 38, practice will be canceled.
  • Gold/National Development - If the air temperature is at or below 32 degrees, practice will be canceled.

Dryland:

  • Silver - If the air temperature is at or below 40, dryland will be canceled.
  • Gold/National Development - If the air temperature is at or below 32 degrees, dryland will be canceled.
