July, 2021: LCA athletes August Heller and Dane Mason are selected as members of the South Texas Swimming Zones team and compete at the USA Swimming Southern Zone Championship in Tupelo, MS.

May, 2021: LCA athlete Tristan McCain is selected as a member of the South Texas Swimming Open Water team.

June, 2020: LCA is recognized by USA Swimming as a certified Safe Sport club. 

January, 2020: LCA athlete Mason Luna-Howell sets a new U.S. Paralympic American record in the 100 short course meters butterlfy event at the LCA Biggest Time Drop meet. 

November, 2019: LCA athlete Mason Luna-Howell sets a new U.S. Paralympic American record in the 100 short course meters individual medley event at a U.S. Masters Swimming meet in Conroe, TX. 

August, 2019: LCA athlete Eli Derr is ranked 8th in the country in the USA Elite Triathlon program.

August, 2019: LCA athletes Melaina Howard, Campbell Noel, and Hunter Lee are selected as members of the South Texas Swimming Zones team and compete at the USA Swimming Southern Zone Championship in Cary, NC. 

August, 2018: LCA athletes Eva Davis, Christian Gamez, and Mason Luna-Howell are selected as members of the South Texas Swimming Zones team and compete at the USA Swimming Southern Zone Championship in Midland, TX. 

July to October, 2019: LCA staff and athletes from the Lakeway and Westlake locations support Special Olympics athletes for the third year as volunteer coaches during their weekly swim practices. 

April 2018: LCA Steiner Ranch offers practices for the first time over the summer months in the Steiner community at the John Simpson pool, creating a year-round program at that location for the first time.

August 2017: LCA swimmers Morgan Johnson and Will Thomas are selected for the USA Swimming Scholastic All-America team.

August, 2017: LCA athletes Jake Chappelear, Andrew Pickard, Alyssa Arnold, Lauren Quincy, and Alyse Dysart are selected as members of the South Texas Swimming Zones team and compete at the USA Swimming Southern Zone Championship in Tupelo, MS.

May, 2017: LCA members Morgan Johnson and Clark Wakeland compete at the USA Swimming Open Water Nationals 5K Championship, becoming the first LCA athletes to compete at an Open Water national event.  

December, 2016: LCA members and LCA matched donations collect $4,510 for Colin's Hope, sponsoring more than 60 kids in the Colin's Hope swim lessons and water safety program for children in Austin in Summer, 2017.

December, 2016: LCA athletes Will Thomas (500 Freestyle) and Nick Carlson (200-meter Freestyle) are recognized as Top 16 athletes in the country and received National Age Group awards.

December, 2016: LCA is recognized for the third time as a Bronze Medal Club in the USA Swimming Club Excellence program.

August 2016: LCA swimmers Nick Carlson, Kevin Fang, Will Thomas, and Clark Wakeland are selected for the USA Swimming Scholastic All-America team.

August, 2016: LCA swimmers Hunter Bishop and Molly Finley are selected as members of the South Texas Swimming Zones team and compete at the USA Swimming Southern Zone Championship in North Carolina.

July, 2016: LCA opens its fourth location at Twin Creeks Country Club, led by Head Coach Josh Geisinger.

June, 2016: LCA swimmers Wes Thomas, Nick Carlson, and Mattias Glenesk compete at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in Omaha, NE.

March, 2016: LCA swimmer Nick Carlson earns his first Olympic Trials cut in the 200 Free at the American Short Course Championship meet.

January, 2016: LCA hosts its second South Texas Swimming championship meet, for BB Champs North, where the team finishes in third place overall. 

December, 2015: LCA swimmer Mattias Glenesk earns his first Olympic Trials cut in the 1500 Free at the 2015 AT&T Winter National Championship meet.

September, 2015: LCA swimmers Kevin Fang, Will Thomas, and Victoria Sananikone are selected for the USA Swimming Scholastic All-America team. Kevin and Will earn special recognition for a 4.0 GPA.

August, 2015: LCA swimmer Wes Thomas earns Olympic Trials cuts in the 100 Breast and 200 Breast at the 2015 Summer Nationals meet.

January, 2015: LCA hosts its first South Texas Swimming championship meet for BB Champs North.

September, 2014: LCA swimmer Nick Carlson is selected for the USA Swimming Scholastic All-America team.

February, 2014: LCA is recognized for the second time as a Bronze Medal Club in the USA Swimming Club Excellence program.

September, 2013: LCA opens its third location at the Bella Mar pool in Steiner Ranch, which has over 125 participants, and is led by Head Coach Kay Gerken.

September, 2013: LCA swimmers Samantha Bassman, Ben Ussery, and Wes Thomas are selected for the USA Swimming Scholastic All-America team. Wes and Ben earn special recognition for a 4.0 GPA.

September, 2012: LCA opens its second location at the Lakeway Swim Center, which has over 100 participants, and is led by Head Coach Janet Risser.

September, 2012: LCA swimmer Wes Thomas is selected for the USA Swimming Scholastic All-America team.

June, 2012: LCA swimmer Daniel Kempf competes at the U.S. Olympic Trials in the 50-meter freestyle.

May, 2011: Thirteen swimmers from the LCA National Team donated their time teaching swim lessons in exchange for donations to the American Red Cross Spring Storms Relief Fund and raised almost $900.

March, 2011: Two LCA swimmers earn recognition on the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association 2010-2011 All America team: McCrae Kempf in the 50 & 100 yard freestyle and Andrew Phillips in the 500 yard freestyle.

Short Course 2010-2011: Third place team finish at South Texas A Championship meet.

October, 2010: LCA swimmers Wes Thomas and Joe Martinez earn top 10 finishes in the nation. Wes is ranked 10th in the 200 breaststroke in the 15-year-old boys group and Joe is ranked 6th in the 500 freestyle for the 14-year-old boys group.

October, 2010: LCA hosts its first USA Swimming sanctioned swim meet.

September, 2010: LCA swimmer Joe Martinez breaks the boys 13-14 South Texas Swimming age group record of 4:37.09, set in 2002, with a time of 4:36.63.

September, 2010: LCA swimmers Andrew Phillips and McCrae Kempf are selected for the USA Swimming Scholastic All-American team.

July, 2010: LCA is recognized as a Level 4 club in the USA Swimming Club Recognition program.
